The use of the white railings to draw the eye into the picture is a good tool in any picture, this is a very strong image, especially as the rails go straight to that ominous skyline! A very strong picture visually, this could easily be a competition winner, and I look forward to more of the same! There is a great sense of openness, but also of desolation, an excellent dichotomy. The lighting effect is handled masterfully and it is hard to think that the artist is just starting on her trek with the camera. This is a really stunning picture. Well done.
This is beautiful and there's so much in the shot but so little...if you know what I mean. Simplistic yet detailed.
The stark white of the fence contrasts fantastically with the colour of the ground and the slightly stormy tint in the sky. The perspective is very good too. You are very good at seeing the shots that other people wouldn't necessarily see. The camera captures the hidden lights in the clouds beautifully and the framed mountains in the distance finish the shot of nicely. Again I can feel the textures in this through the clouds and that's always an added extra to viewing a picture. Well done once again, I really like this one
That's sweet...OURS used to be on Saturday nights. Rent a movie and drink some wine...all after the kids were in bed and fast asleep!! haha!! How do you think we've stayed married nearly 30 years now? I don't know if you seen her or not yet in my gallery, but this is her ---> [link] I'm in the gallery too, but you don't need to see THAT one!
I agree with you...you definitely have to feed that fire when you can. Thank you for the compliment about my wife...she is very lovely (and the brat is a year older than I am but doesn't look it!) And yeah, that's me. I was really hesitant putting any photos of MYSELF on dA....I'm not a big fan of my looks. <ahem>
